Eat Ozzo, wood-fired sandwich restaurant in Pyrmont and Marrickville, Sydney

— with the compliments of the kitchen —

Don't just take a bite,
take a moment.

A short, devout sandwich shop in Sydney. Two counters, one starter, and a stubborn opinion that lunch should be the best part of the day.

As seen in

— what we stand for —

Four small words
that run the kitchen.

I

Clean

Real food, plainly made. No fryer, no seed oils, no mystery. Olive oil, salt, fire, and food that loves you back.

II

Local

Pepe Saya butter. Iggy’s flour. Sydney tomatoes from a friend with dirt under his nails. Sourced close, served fresh.

III

Community

A counter, not a chain. We know your name, your order, and that your kid wants the crust off. Promise.

IV

Love

Made by hand, with patience. The slow, stubborn, unfair advantage. You can taste it. We hope you do.

An Ozzo fire bread, fresh from the oven
— The bench —

Wood-fired bread, slow-fermented 72 hours.

The Ozzo starts as four ingredients and two days of patience: a long, cold ferment, then a hot, wood-fired bake. That is where the crust, the chew and the flavour come from.

Honest ingredients, no fryer, no shortcuts. Smoke, heat and time do the work.
